-DESCRIPTION

When one sees the man that is often considered the ruler of Yataris, one would generally notice many things. For one, this man tends to don a top hat, NOT a traditional crown. Of course, as royal and extravagant as he is, Alicon did have the hat crafted for him by master tailors, as well as his custom-fitted suit and cape. Yes, he has a cape. It is adorned with the crests of Yataris and of the Savat dynasty, the family to which he is a member, and the one that has ruled Yataris for a good three or four hundred years. Delving further into his physical appearance, Alicon dons hair of blonde coloration that is shaded SO DIRTY that it can be described as filthy blonde. This is not to say that he doesn’t keep his hair well maintained of course, as he does. The shape of his hair, indeed, is often kept straight, with the exception of a few dozen stray strands. To match his hair, he also sports a mustache, not quite thick, and not quite thin. On occasion, he will don shades, but underneath these shades, one can often see that he has piercing sapphire irises. Further down, it is easy enough to see that his nose is thin and averagely proportioned, albeit a tad sharp and hooked just enough to display a snide attitude. To the lower sides of his nose, his cheekbones are also rather gaunt in appearance, while not too much so as to give him a skeletal appearance. In general, he has a face that is young, not having touched on the increased aging of authority’s demanding workload, and a face that just REEKS of his appalling attitude.

As to the body parts BELOW his face, he has a rather lean physique, not quite muscular, but not quite wimpy. He is, however, not very strong, and will normally make servants do his work for him, as plebeians like them should do. Peasants… But indeed. Now don’t be fooled, he is strong enough to handle himself in a fight, and to string his bow, but he can’t exactly do a lot of lifting, or perform any muscle-man feats. So, yes, Alicon is about as physically fit as your average guy, if not a bit less powerful, and tends to dress regally, as well as having a youthful look about him, displaying his personality quite well, for a face.

-PRIMARY WEAPONS

~ The man that you may call Alicon happens to wield a longbow, most often, and uses this moreso for hunting than actually fighting, though he could if needed.
~ And a kingly crossbow

-SECONDARY WEAPONS

~ Alicon, in addition to his longbow, proudly sports a kingly rapier.

-SKILLS

~ Rather good with his bow
~ Amiable and friendly, good with people when he wants to be
~ Rather intelligent, and enjoys chess when bored
~Against all his faults, he is a loyal leader to his people, even if he seems to care more about himself than the mere plebes of his kingdom.

-WEAKNESSES

~ Alicon is cocky, and his arrogance and pride will be his greatest downfall
~ Alicon lacks the wisdom of age, and may be overwhelmed with his immense power
~ Although generally peaceful, he’s also pretty short-tempered, and his fuse can easily be triggered
~ He has a flair for the dramatic, which often leaves him disadvantaged, such as arriving later than is “fashionably late”, or making a bad decision because it seemed bolder and better.
~ Not only is he proud, he is vain, and selfish.
~ Very stubborn.
~ Generally? He's that guy you always want to facepawnch until he dies.

-COMBAT STYLE

While Alicon DOES tend to stay out of combat, between being politically neutral, and being royalty, which both tend to keep him out of fights, which he would otherwise end up in the mix of, he can indeed fight. Due to having a less-than-powerful combat style, at close range, he is a primarily long-range fighter, and will normally utilize his longbow, which he did, rather narcissistically, name Ayyes, which is pronounced as A.S., his initials. When not using Ayyes, however, he uses his crossbow. Why would he use the crossbow over his most lethal weapon, and his personal favorite, you may ask? If needed, the crossbow could be used with more mobility, allowing him to move as he fired, without decreasing his accuracy too much, compared to decreasing accuracy using a bow. But those are from a distance.

At close range, Alicon generally has a simple fighting style; he will hold back the opponent with his rapier, in a defensive fencing style, and first chance he gets, he will fall back, allowing him to take up his long-range style once more. If this isn’t plausible, he will, of course, run away. Yeah, you heard that right; the mighty king of Yataris is very quick to retreat, if taken to close range. You know why? Because he sucks at fighting close range. While this is little known, it is a VERY exploitable weakness, should someone discover this. Of course, to fight him at close range, you would have to get him alone, AND get close enough to fight him at close range, because otherwise, he will shoot you, deadshot, right in the chest. So case in point, he’s a deadly long-range expert, while at close-range, he may as well be a brick wall; you can punch it and stab it all you want, but it will neither break, nor strike back, unless you either punch it until it breaks, somehow, or it falls on you.

-PERSONALITY

Oh, the personality of Alicon Savat…

What would happen if one traveled to the pits of the Inferno, and on the mountain of Purgatory, and took with them the proudest, the vainest, the narcissists, the most wrathful, and those of the greatest acedia, and placed them in a divine blender, to make a contraption of sheerest vice? Well, this is a good summary of the first part of Alicon’s personality; proud, vain, selfish, angry, uncaring, Alicon is the epitome of them all. He is generally cocky and arrogant, holding himself as nobility, supreme and unerring. It isn’t even a wonder that he hasn’t noticed the wickedness of his ways yet, as he’s too busy admiring his reflection to do so. Not only that, but he tends to believe himself as being worthier of more than he has. He is often described by those who dislike him to be suffering a serious case of supremacy complex, to the point of it being considered an illness of his mind. Of course, no illness causes it; it is merely the way he lives.

Also to note, Alicon is wrathful. While not an angry man in general, if you get on his nerves in the slightest bit, he is prone to overreact, and will aggressively respond to any form of detriment directed to him. To exemplify this even further, he’s been known to bring people to the verge of death over something simple; misspelling his name in print, or commenting on its pronunciation. One thing you NEVER do in his presence is note that his name sounds like a girl’s name, or spell it as Alison on paper. If he learns of this action, his purest rage will have been invoked, and that short temper of his will snap. Do not call him Alison!

Alicon is also somewhat representative of other vices, while pride and wrath are most prominent. For example, he always wants what he can never have. Therefore, he surrounds himself with as much as he can, constantly striving to be the most luxurious man alive, which is a combination of his greed, envy, and luxuria. Likewise, he is lazy; he tends to spend a lot of his time doing nothing but roaming his palace, partaking in whatever suits his fancy. To an extent, he is also a man of acedia, and while he would never deny his kingdom of anything they needed, if what they wanted conflicted with what he wanted, it wasn’t his problem. In fact, if Yataris was lit aflame, he wouldn’t care unless it directly affected him.

But he isn’t all bad! He has good qualities as well! For example, he LIKES his plebian empire! Even if he doesn’t show it. And amongst friends, he is rather laid back and good-natured, and even his temper can be stretched a bit, so he won’t snap as often. And uuhhh… Well, he has other good traits! Just that they’re so subtle, compared to his worse ones…

-HISTORY

Twas a hot, no, SCORCHING, day in the desert-like lands of Yataris when the good queen of the nation, Ophelia Savat, gave birth to the first, and only, son of Marlano Savat, the king of Yataris. He was called Alicon, what his parents thought to be a suitable name for a young prince, and was given a middle name of Crowley, in honor of his grandfather, Crowley Savat, who had been slain in combat some years before. Anyways, from birth, he was living a life of luxury, one truly ideal of a prince’s existence; the life in which life itself was spooned into his mouth from a silver spoon, without him ever so much as lifting a finger for the first ten years of his life.

But at the age of ten, he did indeed have to start becoming a prince. Not much different, just a few tutors that he put up with, and a few hours of time wasted every day, so that he would be educated by the time he took his father’s place, should the day ever occur that he needed to. But of all his classes, he enjoyed one thing most of all; archery. It was a nobleman’s sport, to go out into the woods with a bow and smite creatures far superior to one’s self in strength, after all. And Alicon loved it. Every day, he would have extra time allocated to his practicing the longbow, and soon the castle was equipped with his own personal trophy room, which is now decorated with all kinds of game. But back then, it was nearly bare, a mark of his having just begun to become a man. And a man, he would soon become.

At the age of fifteen, a sorcerer visited the palace, a wizened old one, who brought a gift of great beauty and majesty; a longbow, adorned in lavish materials, custom sized to be perfectly suited to a slightly older Alicon. But why would a wizard bring with him a bow, you may ask? Why, it was for the prince, as was a prophecy of sorts; should he string the bow, he would obtain a true level of synchronization with the weapon, and he would be ready for the challenges of his later years. Truth be told, most of the sorcerer’s talk was a bunch of crap. In reality, the strength required to string the bow would give him many of the traits that he would need as a man.

But Alicon, of course, believed every word of it. Indeed, for three years, he tried in vain, in vain, and in vain AGAIN to string that bow, and failed. But eventually, finally, he was capable of the feat; he strung the bow and restrung it a few more times, to ensure that sheer luck hadn’t caused it. There were celebrations of course, as this had proven his rise to manhood, and it was a great accomplishment for him.

Now that he had become a man, he was truly among the nobility of Yataris then, and as such, began to practice his public speaking skills, and trained his mind to speak politely, never letting slip that he had better things to do than converse with the peasants before him. Soon, he was a rather noble nobleman, in appearance anyways, and was now a tad more mature than he was before.

Recently, however, his father, King Marlano, fell into his figurative grave, and was pushed in by the fatal enemies that no man can trump; age and disease. At the age of sixty-seven, he succumbed to tuberculosis, which he’d been fighting off for quite a while. So now that his father was gone, Alicon realized, with a bit of horror, that the fate of Yataris- the fate of his people, and the land that his forefathers have spent their lives forging from the desert sand- was now in the hands of an inexperienced mirror-gazer. His hands…

-FINISHERS

4) King Crowley's Kick: Named for his grandfather, Crowley Savat, Alicon can, when needed, channel the spirit of his grandfather in a way not too different from sorcery. While he can't communicate with his spirit, Alicon can focus all of the energy from his Crowley into a powerful kick..

5) Magic Longbow: His longbow was given to him by a sorcerer when he was young, and it grants him the power to, on occasion, when in a position where he would need it, fire an arrow from his bow, which strikes his opponent with explosive force, hitting them like a shot from an elephant gun.
