Abilities: Cockatrices tend to have some interesting abilities; for one thing, they make up for a lack of flight by having razor-sharp talons, perfect for gripping and lacerating prey and predators alike. For another, it has incredibly strong jaws, capable of biting through tough armor and defenses.
Miscellaneous Notes: Cockatrices are the sister species of Rocs, but while the Roc evolved its wingspan to a gargantuan size, the Cockatrice's wingspan has steadily decreased over time.
Cockatrices are about the size of an ostrich.
When cooked, a cockatrice tastes a bit like turkey.
